FlyNet® – Internet access on short and medium-haul routes
As a pioneer in the area of in-flight connectivity, Lufthansa now also offers Internet access on selected A320-family aircraft.
Chat online on board, post status updates on Facebook, write emails or stream your favourite films – with Lufthansa FlyNet® you can now also connect to family, friends or colleagues throughout your short or medium-haul flight.
Continuous access to the FlyNet® service
Simply connect your smartphone, tablet or laptop via Wi-Fi to the FlyNet® network and get started. FlyNet® is now available on an ever increasing number of flights within Europe and to and from North Africa and the Middle East. The FlyNet® portal with its free functions is also available to you during the entire flight: from information about your destination and Lufthansa services, such as check-in for onward flights, to Miles & More services, shopping in Lufthansa WorldShop and many more. In addition, Lufthansa offers you a number of different tariffs with which you can use the full extent of the powerful FlyNet® Internet access as soon as the aircraft has reached cruising altitude.

Purchase FlyNet® access conveniently in advance
Board, take off and start surfing without delay: from now on you can choose the Internet access that suits your requirements for your upcoming flight while you are still on the ground. The access is valid for the calendar year of the purchase and the three subsequent calendar years and can only be used once. If FlyNet® is not available on your flight, you will receive a refund.

It’s so easy going online
The hotspot symbol in the aircraft cabin shows you even before take-off that the FlyNet® service is installed on your flight. As soon as your aircraft has reached cruising altitude, and you have switched on the Wi-Fi function on your Wi-Fi-enabled device, the complimentary Lufthansa FlyNet® portal will open up in your Internet browser and you can log into the FlyNet® hotspot.
FlyNet® HotSpot – it’s so easy to go online on board
Online in 5 steps with FlyNet® – this is how it works:
1. Turn on your notebook or mobile device, enable Wi-Fi and connect to the Telekom FlyNet® network.
2. Open your Internet browser. Select the Telekom HotSpot service in the FlyNet® portal and confirm the security check.
3. Select payment method – by credit card, PayPal, voucher, Miles & More miles, roaming or Deutsche Telekom customer data. If you select roaming, your Internet usage will be charged according to your service provider’s international roaming tariffs. Customers on a Telekom fixed line tariff or a Telekom mobile phone tariff will be charged €1.49 for every 10 minutes of use on the aircraft.
4. Follow the individual login steps and set up your personal registration details, so that you can easily remember them for a later login or another flight.
5. You are now online.
Costs and billing
Deutsche Telekom offers you three individual tariffs for accessing the Internet on board. Payment is by any major credit card. You can also pay via PayPal. Miles & More members can also redeem award miles to settle their bill.

The access is valid for the calendar year in which it is purchased and the three following calendar years, and can only be used once. If FlyNet® is not available on your flight, you will receive a refund.
Currently you cannot book FlyNet® Internet access on your long-haul flight in combination with FlyNet® for a short or medium-haul flight.
Alternatively, if you are a customer of Deutsche Telekom or one of its affiliated roaming partners, you can also log on easily and conveniently with your login details. Please request these login details before commencing your journey. Your FlyNet® Internet use will then be charged in line with your service provider’s tariff. If you choose this billing method, please bear in mind that use on board the aircraft is billed as ‘international roaming’ and is therefore not necessarily included in the flat rate.
